Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Welder to join our team at AdvanTec Marine. As a Welder, you will be responsible for the production welding of standard and custom products, including the fabrication of custom products from supplied drawings and the use of various hand tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with supervisors and lead hands to ensure continuous improvements in the work cells, hitting daily goals set, and welding according to pre-set parameters using TIG, MIG, and flux core welding processes.
  • Use templates, temporary material, gauging devices, and/or patterns to create materials joins.
  • Read and follow drawings and blueprints to set up, tack, and weld.
  • Complete all required paperwork and necessary preparation work.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.
Requirements
  • Holds a current Class A Pressure Welding Certificate through Technical Services British Columbia.
  • B Level Welder with a BC Red Seal Welding Ticket.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience on pipe welding is an asset.
  • Thorough knowledge of welding practices and techniques.
  • Able to read blueprints/drawings and follow instructions.
