Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work as an integral part of our paramedicine program, responding to emergency and routine calls, providing skilled basic and advanced emergency care or assistance to persons suffering from a variety of injuries or illnesses. You will be responsible for maintaining professional and organizational standards of practice, promoting and supporting person-and family-centered care, and demonstrating a commitment to safety and worker and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to emergency and routine calls, providing skilled basic and advanced emergency care or assistance to patients.
  • Maintain professional and organizational standards of practice, promoting and supporting person-and family-centered care.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety and worker and patient safety.
  • Work as an integral part of the paramedicine program, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an approved Primary Care Paramedic program or Emergency Medical Responder course.
  • Current registration with the NL Paramedicine Regulation as a PCP or EMR.
  • Current medical certification with the Office of the Provincial Medical Director.
  • Possession of a valid Class 4 Driver's License as issued by the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Critical and sound decision-making skills.
  • Successful completion of the Physical Capability testing certificate.
