Job Description

Job Title: Relief Pharmacist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Relief Pharmacist to provide pharmacy services and support to customers, medical practitioners, and other retail pharmacies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical services, including disease state management, medication reviews, and health risk assessments.
  • Prioritize technical functions to Pharmacy Assistants when available.
  • Initiate care plans, follow up, and document patient information.
  • Coach pharmacy students and Pharmacy Assistants.
  • Collect relevant patient, drug, and disease information.
  • Identify actual and potential drug-related problems.
  • Monitor medication adherence.
  • Provide patient counseling for new therapy and determine patients' understanding.
  • Exceed customer expectations through ROLES efficiencies.

Requirements:

  • Above-average communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-directed and able to work independently to meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to be a team player in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
  • Licensed Pharmacist in the province of responsibility.
  • Injection Certification.
  • Previous experience in a retail and/or retail pharmacy setting preferred.
