Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing ultrasound procedures, facilitating patient care, and providing high-quality imaging services.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound procedures in accordance with departmental standards to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Facilitate the provision of optimal patient care, observing and understanding hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Adhere to hospital mission and value statements while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Provide radiologists with high-quality imaging, accurate and complete preliminary technical impressions, and discuss ultrasound findings with the radiologist when necessary.
- Perform other duties related to the job classification as required.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited program in ultrasound technology.
- ARDMS (CRGS) certification in abdomen and obstetrics and gynecology, with preference given to those who are also RVT (CRVS) or eligibility for registration with ARDMS (CRGS) within six months of the date of hire.
- Recent experience in a related area of responsibility required.
- Able to perform breast imaging is an asset.
- Experience in general abdominal, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatric, vascular, and musculoskeletal imaging is an asset.
- Experience in ultrasound special procedures, such as biopsies, is an asset.
- FMF NT certification is an asset.
- Membership with Sonography Canada is an asset.
- Proven skill in the production of high-quality ultrasound images.
- Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation, and Collaboration.
- Excellent attendance, punctuality, and work record.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time position, working 8-hour shifts, including weekends and statutory holidays. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.
