Job Title: Welder

Strait mechanical Ltd. is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, and ensuring that welds meet standards and/or specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret welding process specifications and ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, including flux core arc welding (FCAW)
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
  • Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations, and seams of metal
  • Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in welding
  • Occupational Health and Safety Certificate and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Excellent oral communication and team player skills
Work Environment:

As a Welder at Strait mechanical Ltd., you will work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and physically demanding conditions. You will be required to stand for extended periods and work in a confined space.
