Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Care Aide to join our team at the Fort Nelson General Hospital. As a Registered Care Aide, you will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse or other designate to provide high-quality client care in accordance with established policies and procedures.

About the Role

The Registered Care Aide will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of client care, including providing personal care, assisting with daily living activities, and supporting patients with their physical and emotional needs. You will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Grade 10 plus graduation from a recognized Nursing Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
