Job Title: Supply Chain Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Chain Assistant to join our team at Fastenal Canada. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our inventory management and logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate computerized inventory record keeping and re-ordering systems to ensure accurate and timely inventory management.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records to support inventory control and reporting.
  • Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties and delivery dates to provide excellent customer service.
  • Provide advice about merchandise and conduct sales transactions through Internet-based electronic commerce.
  • Provide customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Advertise and/or promote products, sales or services to drive business growth and revenue.
  • Greet customers and discuss type, quality and quantity of merchandise or services sought for purchase, rental or lease.
  • Prepare merchandise for purchase, rental or lease and maintain sales records for inventory control.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, customer interactions, and inventory levels.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
