About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Internal Controller to join our team at Schneider Electric. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for championing internal control in Canada, collaborating with business process owners to mitigate risk, and embedding controls within existing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Internal Control Champion: Collaborate with various stakeholders to assess risk and develop controls that can be embedded into local country processes.
  • Annual Internal Control Self-Assessment: Plan, coordinate, and administer the annual Internal Control Self-Assessment process within Canada.
  • Risk Analysis and Reporting: Review and analyze results of the Control Self-Assessment, Internal Audit, and other control testing activities to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Training and Development: Create and provide necessary Internal Control related training across Canada.
  • Action Plan Management: Summarize and present action plan completion progress to all levels of management.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business related field.
  • Experience: At least 7+ years of experience in internal and/or external audit, including experience with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and related controls design, implementation, and testing.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, analytical mindset, strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
