Senior Labour Relations Officer/Consultant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Labour Relations Officer/Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our Labour Relations department, you will be responsible for providing expertise in contract interpretation and employment/labour law, leading the development of strategic plans for collective bargaining. This role requires strong communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with employees, union representatives, and industry professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the strategic approach to collective bargaining, including negotiations and contract execution.
  • Represent the organization with regulatory authorities on labour relations matters.
  • Develop and implement management training programs in employee relations.
  • Conduct internal investigations and manage the employee termination process.
  • Build proactive relationships with employees, union representatives, and industry professionals.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Labour Relations or HR Management.
  • 5-7 years of experience in Labour Relations, particularly in collective bargaining.
  • Knowledge of relevant provincial and federal legislation.
  • Experience in the non-profit or public sector is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
