Senior Labour Relations Officer/Consultant (Contract - 10 Months)
Location: Various facilities in Toronto, Etobicoke, North York, Woodbridge, and Aurora
Duration: 10 months

Role Summary:
The Senior Labour Relations Officer/Consultant is responsible for providing expertise in contract interpretation and employment/labour law, leading the development of strategic plans for collective bargaining. This position also involves the coordination of policies and programs aligned with corporate objectives in Labour/Employee Relations and Human Resources. The role requires on-site presence for four days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic approach to collective bargaining, including negotiations and contract execution.
- Represent the organization with regulatory authorities on labour relations matters.
- Develop and implement management training programs in employee relations.
- Conduct internal investigations and manage the employee termination process.
- Build proactive relationships with employees, union representatives, and industry professionals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Labour Relations or HR Management.
- 5-7 years of experience in Labour Relations, particularly in collective bargaining.
- Knowledge of relevant provincial and federal legislation.
- Experience in the non-profit or public sector is an asset.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
