Rush Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic Lead to join our team at Rush Truck Centres of Canada. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for providing technical and administrative support to our technicians, ensuring the highest level of service quality and customer satisfaction.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Ensure compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations and the Company's Health and Safety Policy.
  • Provide technical and administrative support to technicians during day-to-day business operations.
  • Maintain service quality and assist with jobs on the shop floor.
  • Strive for harmony with all departments, focusing on teamwork and exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain contact with service customers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate with the Service Advisor to schedule shop work efficiently and check on job status.
  • Motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of technicians.
  • Ensure technicians follow warranty material disposition procedures.
  • Prepare repair estimates when required.
  • Review technicians' repair orders to ensure all information is complete and accurate.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest information through training and service letters on technological advances.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment.


Basic Qualifications:


  • Licensed Technician with 310T Certification.
  • Good communication skills and work attitude.
  • Quality-driven.
  • SAP experience is an asset.
  • Valid Driver's License and a good driving record.
  • Criminal Record Check.
  • Driver's Abstract.
  • AZ/DZ License is an asset.
