We are currently seeking a Mechanical Revit Designer/Modeler to join our skilled team in our Toronto office. This candidate will assist our clients throughout all phases of the design process, from functional planning and conceptual layout through to detailed design and construction support.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform mechanical engineering work related to vertical infrastructure, specifically in areas such as HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
  • Prepare contract drawings and specifications in conjunction with the project team for delivery to the client.
  • Document study progress/results through memo preparation, minutes, and reports as a record of events.
  • Liaise with clients to exchange information regarding project progress.
  • Utilize Revit to create and maintain building mechanical models, drawings, and schedules.
  • Develop designs that meet client requirements and adhere to high standards of form, fit, function, appearance, and quality.
  • Identify discrepancies in drawings and information, and resolve them through appropriate methods and channels.
  • Prepare site visit reports by interpreting findings to give clear recommendations and direction to clients.
  • Review shop drawings and design details for continuity and viability.
Qualifications:
  • Hold a Technologist diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Exhibit strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit 3D modeling, preferably with prior experience in mechanical systems, particularly related to industrial, institutional, and commercial buildings.
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of building services, HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection.
  • Have experience with quality control and production scheduling, as well as the ability to manage multiple deadlines and conflicting demands on time.
  • Be able to effectively liaise with clients and possess strong time management skills.
Estimated Salary:

$90,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
