Job Summary

The Shipping Supervisor will oversee all warehouse activities, ensuring efficient processes and high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in shipping, receiving, dispatching, and quality control of goods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and measure the effectiveness of warehousing activities.
  • Coordinate the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.
  • Verify orders, bills, items received, inventory transactions, and deliveries for accuracy.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the warehouse.
  • Organize and maintain inventory and storage areas.
  • Identify areas for improvement and establish/adjust work procedures and practices.
  • Coordinate and maintain fleets and equipment.
  • Communicate and coordinate with other departments and customers.
  • Lead and manage a team of 15-20 hourly employees.
  • Develop and implement performance evaluations and coaching for designated staff.
  • Maintain records, report relevant information, and prepare necessary documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to safety programs and promote a safe work environment.
  • Provide training and resources for employees to perform their work safely and efficiently.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Degree in business, management, logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a warehouse supervisor or similar management position.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and management.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and data entry software.
  • Computer literate with knowledge in warehouse management software.
