Job Summary
The Canadian Red Cross seeks a highly skilled Head of Emergency Response Operations to lead the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of emergency management programs, projects, and systems. As a senior leader, you will represent the organization in public forums, establish partnerships with stakeholders, and implement policies and procedures related to emergency preparedness, response, risk, and recovery.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of emergency response plans, ensuring alignment with the strategic vision
- Represent the organization in public forums, including media outlets, public speaking engagements, and government relations
- Establish and maintain partnerships with stakeholders, including government agencies and local communities, to ensure effective coordination and collaboration
- Implement policies and procedures related to emergency preparedness, response, risk, and recovery

Requirements
- A university degree and/or postgraduate diploma/degree in a related field, with 5+ years of job-related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in building community partnerships and working with volunteer committees
- Proficiency in standard computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite) and data analysis tools
- Senior leadership and management experience, with the ability to provide strategic vision, drive innovation, and inspire and motivate teams

- An estimated salary range of $91,999 - $114,999 per year, based on location and experience

Working Conditions
- The majority of work is performed in an office environment, with occasional travel throughout Atlantic Canada and within Canada
- In a large-scale emergency, you may be required to provide disaster relief and/or emergency field operational support
