Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Extern to join our team at Baycrest. As a Clinical Extern, you will assist our physiotherapists and occupational therapists in providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with patient mobility, positioning, and transfers, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Support the implementation of treatment plans, focusing on functional and therapeutic exercises.
- Assist with patient ambulation and the use of assistive devices, promoting independence and mobility.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to provide patient-centered care.
- Support the development of patient independence in self-care, productivity, and leisure activities.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, ensuring efficient and effective unit operations.
- Current enrollment in an accredited PT or OT graduate degree program.
- Bachelor's degree in a health-related field (preferred).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of the interdisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
