Job Title: Specialist Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Chef to join our team at Beijing Duck Restaurant Ltd DBA QuanJuDe Vancouver. As a Specialist Chef, you will be responsible for creating new recipes, instructing cooks, and supervising kitchen staff to ensure the highest quality of food.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create new recipes and menus that meet our quality standards
  • Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, and presentation of food
  • Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and safe food preparation
  • Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets, and specialty functions
  • Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of experience in a similar role
  • Cook Trade Certification
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends
