About the Role:
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Worker 2 to join the Chapman House team in Sechelt, BC. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be working with individuals with severe and persistent psychiatric illness in a licensed group home setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in case planning with clients to identify problems and needs.
- Interview clients to understand their concerns and develop appropriate care plans.
- Act as an advocate to assist clients in resolving conflicts and other problems with external organizations.
- Implement care plans, observe residents' behavior and symptoms, and provide feedback on their needs, performance, and progress.
- Provide supportive counseling, demonstrations, and behavioral management to assist residents in developing physical, social, emotional, and life skills.

Sechelt is a charming seaside community located on the traditional territories of the shíshálh (Sechelt) Nation. Qualifications:
- Diploma in Community Social Service.
- Two (2) years recent, related experience working with individuals with severe and persistent psychiatric illness or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Valid BC Drivers License. Local area travel may require the use of a personal vehicle.
- Valid CPR and First Aid certificates.
