Care Team Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Care Team Assistant to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a member of our collaborative care team, you will provide direct, hands-on care to patients based on their needs and program/unit requirements.
Reporting to the Health Services Manager, you will work under the supervision or direction of regulated health professionals to support patients' activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living. You will also reinforce patient and family teaching according to established guidelines and the plan of care.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate with a Continuing Care Assistant Program and Provincial Certification with the Department of Health and Wellness. You must be registered and active with the CCA Registry. Additionally, you should have current Basic Life Support Certification and demonstrate effective listening skills, as well as communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset. If you are eligible to write the CCA knowledge exam and obtain certification within 1 year from your date of hire, we may consider you for this position.
HoursThis is a short assignment full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly, approximately 6 months. You will work in a dynamic and supportive environment, collaborating with a diverse team of professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Compensation and BenefitsYou will be compensated at a rate of $23.71 - $25.70 hourly, with a comprehensive benefits package.
