Job Description

We are seeking highly motivated and talented individuals to join our Canada 2025 intern class as Technical Software Development Interns on our AI Engine Products team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on high-performance software development for our AI engine products, developing optimization algorithms for ML operators/layers and enabling state-of-the-art neural network models to meet customer real-world use cases.

You will be part of a dynamic team that combines high-performance software with cutting-edge hardware to run deep neural nets on devices such as smartphones, cars, and vacuum cleaners. Your contributions will play a crucial role in extending our AI solutions into various industry-leading customer use cases.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Development of optimization algorithms for ML operators/layers for the Qualcomm AI SW stack
  • Development of AI systems optimizations to maximize utilization of Qualcomm AI HW and SW
  • Enabling and optimizing state of the art neural network models to meet the demands of customer real world use cases
  • Development of software tools for profiling, and debugging to support rapid deployment of new neural networks in this fast-changing field

In order to succeed in this role, you should have a solid understanding of programming languages such as C++, Python, and Shell. Additionally, you should have analytical skills, be able to write efficient code, and have experience with machine learning concepts and Android development.

A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field is required. For this internship, we require candidates to be available from May or June 2025 to August or September 2025.
