Responsibilities

  • Framework and Evaluation: Design and implement a framework for program monitoring and evaluation, providing regular reports to senior management.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, patient advocacy groups, and other relevant organizations.
  • Policy and Process Integration: Create strategies that incorporate relevant policy into health service provider agreements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Committee Representation: Represent the ministry on key committees governing compensation programs, contributing to the development of evidence-based policies.
  • Leadership & Innovation: Support the development of innovative compensation models, exploring new approaches to address emerging challenges in the healthcare sector.
  • Strategic Planning & Alignment: Work closely with internal teams to develop long-term strategies, aligning with the government's vision for a sustainable and resilient healthcare system.
  • Cross-Government Collaboration: Represent the Ministry in cross-government working groups, fostering collaboration and coordination across different departments and agencies.

Requirements

Minimum Recruitment Standards
Manager, Negotiation Strategies: University graduation in Business, Public Administration, Health Care, LLB, Economics and Policy Management, supplemented by four years related experience.

Manager, Compensation Engagement: University graduation in Business, Public Administration and Health Professional, supplemented by four years related experience.

The following experience is required for both positions:

  • Strong knowledge of the health care system and provider compensation strategies.
  • Understanding of the structure of the health system and stakeholder relationships.
  • Knowledge of the Canada Health Act and associated regulations.
  • Experience in business, economics, public administration, health care, policy management, and negotiations.
