The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineering Designer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design of municipal infrastructure projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design of municipal infrastructure projects, including roads, storm and sanitary sewers, catchment maps, watermains, and stormwater detention systems.
  • Coordinate design approvals and ensure compliance with municipal regulations and standards.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings and reports, using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related applications.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior staff and technical support staff.
  • Design and prepare ESC systems and plans.
  • Preparation of alternate designs as necessary.
  • Site and lot grading and earthworks balancing and optimization.
  • Technical analysis of municipal infrastructure components.
  • Preparation of reports, letters, memos, and other project correspondence.
  • Compilation of as-built records for design and record drawings.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in civil engineering, barring special exemption.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects and with multiple CAD Technicians and Engineering Designers.
  • Knowledgeable in civil engineering design principles.
