Senior Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our Energy team in Calgary, AB. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing complex civil engineering tasks that require professional work knowledge and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and analyze stormwater management systems, including surface and underground systems, stormwater ponds, and oily water systems.
  • Develop and implement designs for roads, grading, granular tank foundations, and sanitary sewers.
  • Compile, verify, and correlate data related to engineering problems.
  • Assist in the development and verification of project control documents and status reports.
  • Review and check designs, drawings, and data prepared by other engineers or specialists.
  • Coordinate with all disciplines, field personnel, clients, or vendors.
  • Provide quality control of design and ensure adherence to company standards.
  • Demonstrate leadership, respect, and commitment to quality.
  • Understand the roles played by other disciplines on the project.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in civil/structural engineering from an accredited university.
  • 10+ years of work experience in the analysis and design of roads and drainage systems in energy or mining sectors.
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D software.
Working Conditions:

Minimal supervision from project lead or project manager. Provides technical direction to civil designers and junior civil engineers. Maintains contact with the immediate work group or discipline and interfaces with other disciplines as required.
