Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Kinesiologist to join our team at Lifemark Physiotherapy Blackburn & Taylor Kidd. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments under the mentorship and direction of a physiotherapist.
- Design, implement, and supervise graded exercise, work conditioning, and/or work hardening programs.
- Teach exercise classes to seniors in a Retirement Residence setting.
- Perform biweekly reassessment of client progress through functional testing.
- Record functional and subjective findings in client charts on a regular basis.
- Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals.
- Conduct group orientation and education lectures and regular one-on-one education to clients.
- Complete functional components of reports for initial, progress, and discharge.
- Ensure return to work plans with client and employer have been made and documented in the client chart.
- Registered with the College of Kinesiology of Ontario.
- Graduate of a university Kinesiology degree program.
- New licensed grad may apply.
- Preferably with 1-5 years of work experience specializing in Occupational Rehabilitation is considered an asset.
