Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team at Canplas Industries Ltd. in Barrie, Ontario.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a customer-focused individual to work as a Bilingual Customer Service Representative. As the first point of contact between Canplas and its customers, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring timely and accurate processing of customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate with customers through various channels, including email, phone, and fax, to resolve inquiries and issues promptly.
  • Process incoming orders and customer inquiries accurately and efficiently, utilizing corporate ERP systems.
  • Confirm every customer order back to the purchaser via automated system and file every order confirmation electronically.
  • Manage backorders, obtain delivery updates, and allocate replenished inventory for shipping.
  • Process consignment warehouse orders/invoices as initiated from Consignment warehouses, sales agents, or Canplas sales teams.
  • Provide backup assistance to other Canplas Customer Service team members during absences.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of inside sales experience and/or related industry knowledge.
  • Strong customer service background, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including proficiency in Windows programs, such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Data entry experience, preferably in Infoflo or other ERP programs (possibly SAP/Hana).
  • Pleasant telephone manner and strong order desk background.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.

Work Environment

This is an office position with flexibility to move around in comfortable working conditions. Regular use of office equipment is required.
