Coast Mental Health is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in providing high-quality care to individuals with mental illness and addiction. As a member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will work under the direction of the Program Director and Clinical Coordinator to provide a range of nursing functions and direct care, including psychiatric and physical assessments, crisis interventions, medication administration, and group facilitation.
Key Responsibilities- Provide trauma-informed care to individuals with complex needs related to psychiatric disability, addiction, and past trauma/victimization.
- Work collaboratively with the team to develop and implement care plans that promote recovery and well-being.
- Administer medications and provide physical care as required.
- Facilitate groups and provide individual support to clients.
- Contribute to a client-driven, recovery-oriented environment that promotes restoring health, personal growth, and a return to society.
- Graduation from a recognized program for Licensed Practical Nurses and ability to maintain full practicing license with the BCCNM.
- Valid B.C. Class 5 Driver's License.
- Valid First Aid Certificate.
- Criminal Records Clearance from the BC Ministry of Justice.
- Proof of full Covid-19 immunization.
- Tuberculosis Clearance.
- Immunization Records.
- WHMIS Certificate.
