Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Repair and Service Shop Supervisor to join our team at Ontario Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our automotive repair and service shop, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our shop operates efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of automotive technicians, motor vehicle mechanics, apprentices, and labourers to ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard and on time.
  • Resolve work problems and provide technical advice to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Estimate costs and materials for repairs and maintenance.
  • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed and that the shop is maintained in a clean and safe condition.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other work units.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a supervisory role in the automotive repair and service industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail. They will be required to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. The work will involve standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in a physically demanding environment.
