Job Title: Automotive Repair and Service Shop Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Repair and Service Shop Supervisor to join our team at Ontario Inc.

Job Summary:

The Automotive Repair and Service Shop Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our automotive repair and service shop, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of automotive technicians, motor vehicle mechanics, apprentices, and labourers to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks.
  • Resolve work problems and provide technical advice to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects and ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other work units.
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a supervisory role in the automotive repair and service industry.
  • Permanent employment with 40 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English.

  • Work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.

  • Efficient interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
