Job Title: Housekeeping Manager

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager to join our team at Super 8 Cornwall. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel rooms and public areas.

Responsibilities:
  • Select and purchase equipment and supplies to maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization.
  • Coordinate the inspection of assigned areas to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Supervise a team of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning and maintenance procedures.
  • Coordinate contract services for maintenance and repair as needed.
  • Ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met at all times.
  • Supervise maintenance and repair services to ensure prompt and effective resolution of issues.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and appraisals to ensure staff are meeting expectations.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, and uniforms to ensure efficient operations.
  • Supervise in-house laundry services to ensure cleanliness and efficiency.
  • Schedule and assign duties of housekeeping staff to ensure effective use of resources.
  • Ensure that local health and sanitation regulations are carried out at all times.
  • Hire and dismiss staff as needed to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Respond to complaints of guests in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods.
  • Large workload and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, and team player.
Working Conditions:
  • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
