Job Title: Housekeeping Manager

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager to join our team at Super 8 Cornwall. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Select and purchase equipment and supplies to maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in our hotel.
  • Co-ordinate the inspection of assigned areas to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Supervise a team of housekeeping staff to ensure they are meeting their responsibilities and providing excellent customer service.
  • Co-ordinate contract services to maintain our hotel's facilities and equipment.
  • Ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met at all times.
  • Supervise maintenance and repair services to ensure our hotel's facilities are well-maintained.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and appraisals to ensure our housekeeping staff are meeting their goals and objectives.
  • Maintain an inventory of supplies, equipment, and uniforms to ensure our housekeeping staff have what they need to do their job effectively.
  • Supervise in-house laundry services to ensure our hotel's linens and uniforms are clean and well-maintained.
  • Schedule and assign duties of housekeeping staff to ensure our hotel is running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Ensure that local health and sanitation regulations are carried out at all times.
  • Hire and dismiss staff as needed to ensure our housekeeping team is well-staffed and effective.
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of organization.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Dependability, flexibility, and initiative.
  • Excellent oral communication and judgement skills.
  • Reliability and ability to work well under pressure.
Working Conditions:
  • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Standing for extended periods.
  • Large workload.
Language:
  • English is the primary language of communication.
Work Schedule:
  • 35 to 40 hours per week.
