Job Title: Housekeeping Manager

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager to join our team at Super 8 Cornwall.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the housekeeping operations, ensuring a high level of cleanliness and customer satisfaction. This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Select and purchase equipment and supplies to maintain a high level of cleanliness and efficiency.
  • Coordinate the inspection of assigned areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Supervise a team of housekeeping staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Coordinate contract services, such as laundry and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met, and that all staff are trained and aware of their responsibilities.
  • Supervise maintenance and repair services to ensure that all equipment and facilities are in good working order.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and appraisals to ensure that staff are meeting expectations.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, and uniforms to ensure that all staff have the necessary resources to perform their duties.
  • Supervise in-house laundry services to ensure that all linens and uniforms are clean and in good condition.
  • Schedule and assign duties of housekeeping staff to ensure that all areas are cleaned and maintained to a high standard.
  • Ensure that local health and sanitation regulations are carried out, and that all staff are aware of their responsibilities.
  • Hire and dismiss staff as needed, ensuring that all hiring and firing procedures are followed.
  • Respond to complaints of guests in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Dependability, flexibility, and a strong work ethic.
Work Environment:

This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and will be required to stand for extended periods and work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Hours:

The working hours are 35 to 40 hours per week.

Work Term:

This is a permanent position.
