Job Title: Ethnic Food Cook

We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at 2727297 ONTARIO INC. as a key member of our culinary team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as planning menus and estimating food requirements for their realization. They will also be responsible for requisitioning food and kitchen supplies, inspecting kitchens and food service areas, and training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Menu Planning and Preparation: Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
  • Cooking and Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, using a variety of cooking techniques and ingredients.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that all stock is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Staff Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring that all team members are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas, ensuring that all areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Restaurant.
