Ethnic Food Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at 2727297 ONTARIO INC. as a key member of our culinary team.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as planning menus and estimating food requirements for their realization. They will also be responsible for requisitioning food and kitchen supplies, inspecting kitchens and food service areas, and training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
Key Responsibilities:- Menu Planning and Food Preparation: Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization, prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, and prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and order supplies and equipment as needed.
- Staff Training and Supervision: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
- Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure high standards of quality and cleanliness.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: 5 years or more of experience in a related field.
- Language: English.
- Work Setting: Restaurant.
