About the Role

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) to join our team at the George Pearson Centre in Vancouver, BC.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate nurse to provide direct care and supportive counseling to clients in the process of detoxification, stabilization, and transition into other residential addiction services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care and supportive counseling to clients
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to achieve excellence in client-centered care
  • Work effectively with challenging clients to maintain a safe environment
Requirements
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • Two (2) years' recent, related clinical experience providing treatment services to individuals with mental health and/or substance use concerns
  • Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes
