Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team at the Vancouver Detox Centre.

As an Addiction Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care and supportive counseling to clients who are in the process of detoxification, stabilization, and/or transitioning into other residential addiction services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized care and support to clients with complex needs
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve client-centered care and education
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address the physical, emotional, and social needs of clients
  • Conduct assessments and provide counseling to clients and their families
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance client care and services
Qualifications
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives
  • Two years' recent, related experience providing treatment services to individuals with mental health and/or substance use concerns
  • Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes
