Part-Time Professor

Durham College is seeking an experienced and motivated part-time professor to teach in the Honours Bachelor of Community Mental Health degree. As a professor, you will develop courses and engage students in the learning process.
Responsibilities- Create a positive learning environment that accommodates diverse student backgrounds, experiences, and individual learning styles.
- Effectively use educational technologies to support learning, manage grades, and deliver program curriculum.
- Develop curriculum that assesses student learning using appropriate strategies and tools.
- Ensure course and program curriculum remains current and relevant.
- Work independently and demonstrate initiative, as well as effectively collaborate with students, the program team, and various stakeholders.
We are looking for a PhD-qualified professional with a minimum of five years of recent work experience in psychology, counselling psychology, or a related field. You should have teaching experience at the post-secondary level, with a demonstrated understanding and application of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and current assessment methodologies. Experience participating in industry-led or community-based applied research is an asset.
