About the Role

Muskoka Steel Dock Ltd. is seeking a skilled Construction Trades Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for assisting in the loading, unloading, and transportation of construction materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Operational Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from construction sites.
  • Site Preparation: Assist in leveling earth to fine grade specifications and cleaning up construction sites.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance work and assist in the repair of equipment and tools.
  • Site Safety: Direct traffic at or near construction sites and ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: The role requires physical stamina and the ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Attention to Detail: You must have excellent attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
  • Experience: Experience in a related field is an asset, but not required.
Work Environment

This is a permanent, on-the-road job with a 40-hour workweek. The primary language of work is English.
