Job Summary

Muskoka Steel Dock Ltd. is seeking a skilled Construction Trades Helper to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting in the loading, unloading, and transportation of construction materials, as well as performing pre-operational inspections and erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from construction sites
  • Perform pre-operational inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials
  • Perform routine maintenance work on equipment and tools
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions. You will be required to work on construction sites, docksides, and various locations, and may be required to travel to different sites as needed.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a related field is an asset
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and bending
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
