Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the receipt, handling, and storage of raw materials and finished products in a safe and efficient manner. This includes supervising a team of warehouse associates, maintaining operations within established standards for cost, quality, efficiency, and safety.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Oversight order confirmation and shipment of finished goods by trucks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Lead and coach warehouse associates to maintain loading and receiving accuracy, collaborate with supervisors to manage inventory flow, and meet dock schedules.
  • Conduct inventory audits to identify and resolve variances, ensuring proper controls are in place, while maintaining safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
  • Participate in logistics daily operations reviews, coach associates in problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure proper use of Extended Warehouse Management system, maximizing storage and labor efficiencies.
  • Support manager in creating and implementing departmental operating and strategic plans, oversee team development during peak seasons, and manage the hourly employee lifecycle, including hiring, training, timesheets, and performance management.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's or associate degree in engineering, supply chain, logistics, operations, or relevant on-the-job experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
  • 2+ years directly or indirectly leading a team of hourly employees.
  • Experience in using WMS or labor management system.
  • Open availability – flexibility and adaptability with schedule, i.e., working holidays, some weekends with occasional after-hours requirements during peak seasons.
