Niagara Children's Centre is recognized throughout the Niagara Region as a leading provider of rehabilitation and support services to children and youth with physical, developmental, and communicative delays and disabilities.
As an Occupational Therapist at Niagara Children's Centre, you will play a crucial role in improving participation and quality of life for our clients. Your expertise will help them perform day-to-day tasks necessary for self-care, productivity, and leisure and play within their environment.
This position requires assessment, identification of strengths and needs, goal-setting, treatment planning, and implementation of treatment in a direct, indirect, or consultative manner. You may also be required to work with children and youth with complex profiles of needs, delivering an interdisciplinary approach to care with community partnering agencies in an outreach capacity.
To succeed in this role, you will need a strong interest or experience in school-based rehabilitation, autism spectrum disorders for preschoolers, active rehab for 0-18 years with various neurological, developmental, and/or physical challenges, and a sound understanding of occupational therapy among children and youth.
