Strategic Business Development Associate

Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this position is $38,000 - $55,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs. You also have the potential to earn considerably more through RBC's robust discretionary bonus program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
- Leverage your talent for planning to facilitate meetings and events for the Investment Advisor with their clients and prospects, determining agendas and key topics, preparing documentation, executing post-meeting work, and attending client meetings when required.
- Provide proactive client service, collaborating with various departments to offer smooth and timely solutions, effectively responding to client account inquiries, and taking ownership of follow-ups.
- Help build and execute business plans, client segmentation exercises, and client service plans.
- Identify opportunities for asset consolidation and referrals across the existing client base.
- Support new client acquisition and nurture valuable relationships with Centers of Influence (COIs) and RBC partners.
- Conduct ongoing research on markets and investments and provide regular updates to the advisory team.
Must-have qualifications include:
- Approval as a Registered Representative (RR) with IIROC.
- Successful completion of the Wealth Management Essentials (WME) course or Investment Management Techniques (IMT).
- A university degree.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong skills working with business applications/technology, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Nice-to-have qualifications include:
- 4 years or more of professional experience within the investment industry.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Highly developed client service skills.
