We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Assistant I to join our team at Cold Lake Hlthcare/Mental Hlth. As a key member of our clinical laboratory team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support in the collection, processing, and testing of specimens.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and process quality specimens for analysis, ensuring accurate and timely results.
- Perform phlebotomy services for adults, children, and infants using both macro and micro techniques.
- Accomplish accessioning patient specimens, troubleshooting problem specimens, and performing ECGs.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients of the clinical laboratory.
- Support the laboratory team in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
- Phlebotomy experience is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Represent Laboratory Medicine in a respectful, professional, and courteous manner.
- Experience performing macroscopic and microscopic urinalysis testing.
- EPIC LIS experience is preferred.
