Job Description

The Automotive Process Quality Specialist will work with a cross-functional team to continuously improve the quality of vehicles built for customers at our Automotive Assembly plant.

This role involves troubleshooting build issues impacting Safety, Direct Run Rate (DRR), Direct Run Loss (DRL), and uptime. You will collaborate with maintenance on error-proofing concepts, implementation, and validation.

You will review warranty calls and implement countermeasures, update department documentation, and maintain a PFMEA database. This position also requires responding to Global Customer Audit (GCA) calls and attending quarterly 5F meetings and Quality report-outs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot build issues that impact safety, DRR, DRL, and uptime
  • Work with maintenance on error-proofing concept, implementation, and validation (UAT)
  • Review warranty calls and implement countermeasures
  • Update department documentation, including Task Instruction Sheets (TIS), check sheets, the Error Proofing Annunciation (EPA) list etc.
  • Maintain PFMEA database
  • Respond to Global Customer Audit (GCA) calls
  • Attend quarterly 5F meeting and Quality report-out

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in process control within a manufacturing setting. They must have an in-depth understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes, fundamental knowledge of processes within the automotive industry, excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management skills, and capacity to collaborate within a team environment with minimal supervision.

Preferred Skills and Experiences:

  • Experience in the automotive manufacturing sector
  • Experience in General Motors manufacturing facilities

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on location and experience. The benefits package includes group insurance, employer RRSP match, and 15 days annual vacation.
