About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in cooking and kitchen management, with experience in preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
Responsibilities- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas.
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food.
- Order supplies and equipment.
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
- Clean kitchen and work areas.
- Organize buffets and banquets.
- Manage kitchen operations.
- Attention to detail is essential for this role, as well as the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- The ideal candidate will also have strong client focus, dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgement, and organised skills.
