Educational Support Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Educational Support Assistant to join our team at Guiding Minds Montessori Inc.
Job Summary:The Educational Support Assistant will provide support to early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This role will involve assisting with daily activities, preparing materials, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children.
Responsibilities:- Assist early childhood educators in implementing educational programs and activities
- Prepare materials and resources for lessons and activities
- Support children in developing good eating, dressing, and toilet habits
- Engage children in activities such as storytelling, singing, and crafts
- Assist with record-keeping and submitting written observations to educators
- Participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
- Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Experience working with children in a childcare setting
- Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification
- Criminal record check and Child Abuse Registry check
The Educational Support Assistant will work in a fast-paced childcare environment, requiring a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
