Diesel Mechanic/Technician

Rush Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic/Technician to join our team at our Kingston dealership. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a wide range of commercial vehicles, including trucks, buses, and trailers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations and the Company's Health and Safety Policy.
  • Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
  • Read job orders, observe, and listen to vehicles in operation to determine malfunctions and plan work procedures.
  • Perform general and detailed repairs of all trucks, engines, and components.
  • Document work performed.
  • Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
  • Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks and make adjustments as needed.
  • Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty.
  • Attend training classes and keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Licensed or Registered Apprentice (310T or 310S).
  • Good communication skills and work attitude.
  • Quality driven.
  • SAP experience is an asset.
  • Valid Driver's License and a good driving record.
  • Criminal Record Check.
  • Driver's Abstract.
  • AZ/DZ License is an asset.
