About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Mineral Processing Engineer to join our team at Teck. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in leading mineral processing studies and building metallurgical models at our Highland Valley Copper and Red Dog Operations sites.

As a Principal Mineral Processing Engineer, you will be responsible for providing process and metallurgical oversight for operations and projects, conducting metallurgical analysis and technical interpretation of data, and developing and updating recovery and throughput models. You will also be responsible for liaising with the geological team on projects and test work, curating or refining process design criteria, and managing external technical consultants.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of technical professionals, including geoscientists, mining engineers, and metallurgical engineers. You will have the opportunity to engage with process design, laboratory test work management, mine optimization, technical studies, and production reconciliation.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining, Mineral Processing, Chemical, or Metallurgical Engineering, and at least 15 years of diverse experience in base metals mining. You will also have experience in plant operations, preferably with engineering experience at a senior or chief metallurgical or mineral processing level.

We offer a competitive salary range of $144,000 - $178,000, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including annual performance bonus, profit share plan, long-term incentive plan, health spending account, personal spending account, extended health care, dental and vision care, employer-paid pension plan, life insurance and disability coverage, paid sick leave, vacation, and holidays.
