About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Process Engineer to join our Minerals and Metals team in Vancouver. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical leadership across the mineral processing project lifecycle, with a focus on concentrator mining projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical guidance and oversight on process design, commissioning, and optimization of mineral concentrator mining projects.
  • Approving and delivering process design in accordance with sound design principles and industry best practices.
  • Performing trade-off studies to optimize process configuration and maximize client financial objectives.
  • Managing the performance of Process Engineers to produce high-quality process and design deliverables.
  • Mentoring and developing Process Engineers to achieve exceptional performance.
  • Collaborating with Study Managers, Project Engineers, and Discipline Leads to deliver high-quality outcomes for our clients.
  • Providing valuable insights to support decision-making through quantification of process parameters and identification of technical risks.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Mineral Processing and/or Chemical Engineering, with registration as a P. Eng.
  • 10-20 years of experience in concentrator projects, with a mix of design and execution experience in both engineering consulting and operational environments.
  • Experience in flotation, comminution, and tailings management is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience leading projects to success and understanding client-side decision-making.
  • Testwork and process design experience in copper, molybdenum, gold, and nickel is an asset.
  • A solid understanding of industry technology and a desire to stay up-to-date with emerging technologies.

Salary range: $170-$220K. Expected salary variation is determined by factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
