We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Operations Manager to join our team at Saigon Chef Restaurant. This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that our food meets the highest quality standards.

Job Summary

The Food Service Operations Manager will be responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of staff who prepare and portion food, estimating ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities
    • Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, presentation, and service.
    • Ensure that all staff members are following established procedures and protocols.
  • Estimate Ingredient and Supplies
    • Determine the quantity of ingredients and supplies needed for meal preparation.
    • Manage inventory levels to ensure that we have sufficient stock on hand.
  • Quality Control
    • Conduct regular taste tests to ensure that our food meets quality standards.
    • Address any issues or concerns related to food quality or safety.
  • Budgeting and Cost Estimation
    • Prepare budget and cost estimates for food purchases and other operational expenses.
    • Analyze financial data to identify areas for cost savings.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Collaborate with chefs, kitchen staff, and other department managers to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
    • Communicate effectively with staff, management, and customers to address any concerns or issues.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role or related field.
  • Skill Set
    • Proven track record of success in food service operations.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
    • Familiarity with local culinary genres and trends.
  • Physical Demands
    • Fast-paced environment.
    • Work under pressure.
    • Attention to detail.
Salary

$45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
