Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Aviation Security to lead our operations at Vancouver International Airport.

About the Role: As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the delivery of our security services, ensuring the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
  • Operations Management: Oversee the management of our airport security operations, including the supervision of staff, management of resources, and implementation of processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • People Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team of security professionals, providing coaching, mentoring, and training to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, developing and maintaining key relationships with clients and stakeholders to drive revenue growth and profitability.

Requirements:

  • Education: University degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as business, security, or law enforcement.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in a leadership role, with a proven track record of success in managing teams, driving business growth, and improving operational efficiency.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of security professionals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
