Senior Solution Architect for Digital Transformation

Job Type: Permanent

Our client, a leading financial services company, is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to lead the digital transformation of their technology landscape.

This is a permanent opportunity with a remote work arrangement, with a preferred location in British Columbia, Ontario, or Alberta.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement a digital transformation roadmap to identify, implement, and rationalize capabilities across the technology landscape.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cloud-based solutions.
  3. Provide technical leadership and expertise in cloud architecture, software development, and technical processes.
  4. Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and best practices.
  5. Develop and maintain technical documentation and architecture diagrams.
  6. Ensure alignment with business objectives and strategic initiatives.

Requirements:

  1. 10+ years of software development experience as a Solutions Architect with ability to be hands-on and do code reviews.
  2. Experience designing solutions in Financial/Banking sector applications.
  3. Experience in cloud architecture - preferably Azure.
  4. Experience with modern core banking systems and awareness of fintech landscape.
  5. Extensive knowledge of software architecture, application development, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines e.g. Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning, cloud computing, etc.
  6. Have in-depth knowledge in integration patterns and expertise in developing RESTful APIs with a good understanding of microservices architecture.
  7. Architectural experience using modelling languages and frameworks (UML, TOGAF, Archimate, 4+1 View Model, etc), architecture practices and principles in Business, Information (data), Application, Technology, and Security architecture disciplines.
  8. Proficiency in evaluating and recommending emerging technologies and best practices.
  9. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  10. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.
  11. Familiarity with software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
  12. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
